Abstract
1,164,677. Dyes for polyacrylonitrile. FARBENFABRIK WOLFEN VEB. 27 Nov., 1967, No. 53837/67. Heading C4P. The invention comprises dyestuffs of the general formula wherein A is the remainder of a thiazole, triazole, tetrazole, oxadiazole or thiadiazole ring, R, R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are alkyl groups having up to 4 carbon atoms and X is an anion. They are prepared by diazotizing an appropriate heterocyclic amine and coupling to the corresponding coupling component, followed by quaternization of the hetero N atom to introduce the group R. The dyes dye polyacrylonitrile in reddish-blue shades.
