Abstract

1,164,439. Break-spinning apparatus. VYZKUMNY USTAV BAVLNARSKY; 16 Nov., 1966 [1 Dec; 1965], No. 51283/66. Heading D1D. The cross-section of the channel through which yarn is delivered from the spinning- chamber of break-spinning apparatus, first narrows at 7 and then widens at 11 in the direction in which the yarn travels when 'being withdrawn from the chamber. A channel of this form provides a guiding-surface for the yarn as it leaves the chamber and facilitates the introduction of a length of yarn for priming at starting or restarting after a break, the gradually reducing cross-section of the part 11 viewed in the direction of the entering yarn giving rise to a gradually increasing velocity of the air being drawn into the chamber.
