Abstract

1,164,454. Drying tea. MARSHALL'S TEA MACHINERY CO. Ltd. 24 Jan., 1967 [25 Oct., 1965], No. 44995/65. Heading F4G. Apparatus for withering tea comprises a trough having superimposed foraminous leafreceiving floors arranged in spaced relationship and means for circulating air upwardly and/or downwardly therethrough. A removable hood may be mounted on the trough which is connectible to a suitably conditioned air supply. The floors are formed of removable trays or tiltable slats.
