Abstract

1,162,515. Ventilating buildings. D. CLARKE. 26 Sept., 1966 [24 Sept., 1965], No. 40858/65. Heading F4V. A potato germination house, fruit storage shed or pig or poultry rearing house has an aperture in one wall controlled by a flap 9 pivoted on a shaft 10, the flap also controlling external and internal ducts 6, 7 respectively which extend to the mid height of the opening. The flap is moved by a drive 20-24 from a motor which is operated by a thermostat 12 to close the flap and by a thermostat 13 to open the flap. A fan 15 and a heater 17 are provided in the internal duct 7 and are switched on by a movable thermostat 18 in the building. A further thermostat 14 in the external duct 6 also controls the fan. An air duct 16 communicates with the interior of the building.
