Abstract

1,162,315. Knitting machines. MASCHINEN UND APPARATEBAU DIETIKON A.G. 11 July, 1967 [14 July, 1966], No. 31752/67. Heading D1C. A flat knitting machine has sinkers 4 which are rotated about a pivot point 4a to a forward position and back only when the main bed is used and are stationary (as shown when the main and auxiliary bed are used, the distance a being the same as distance b. The sinkers are rotated by an intermediate member 5 which is moved by a cam 11 but as shown in Fig. 1 the projection 5b is lowered out of the path of the cam 11. Return movement is produced by springs 13.
