Abstract

1,161,776. Spreading out fibre bands. SCHUBERT & SALZER MASCHINENFABRIK A.G. 20 Feb., 1967 [22 Feb., 1966], No. 7938/67: Headings D1F and D1N. A plurality of rods 61, 62, 63, each which at least one convexly curved surface, are arranged between a pair of sensing and compression rollers 31, 3, of which one is grooved and a pair of entry rollers 4, 5 to a drafting device, fibre band being spread out as it passes over and under the curved surfaces of the rods. The surfaces are curved tranversely to the direction of travel of the band, and guiding plates 91-94 fixed to the ends of the rods and diverging in the direction of travel also assist in the spreading out. The rods are adjustably positioned on rails.
