Abstract
1,160,401. Mixing in tortuous channels. BRITISH MOTOR CORP. Ltd. 31 Jan., 1968 [15 Feb., 1967], No. 7150/67. Heading B1C. A device for the turbulent mixing of liquids comprises a plate I wherein a mixing duct 9 of zig-zag form is made by contiguous blind holes 10 closed by a cover plate (12, Figs. 1 and 3, not shown). In another embodiment (Figs. 4-7 not shown) the duct (15) is formed by drilling contiguous holes through a plate (16) which is then inserted between two cover plates (21, 22) which are assembled with spacers (23) to form a box-like casing.
