Abstract

1,160,484. Stands. BRITISH DOMESTIC APPLIANCES Ltd. 27 May, 1968 [2 June, 19671, No. 25555/67. Heading A4H. [Also in Division E2] A stand for supporting a domestic hair drier comprises two resilient rods 1, 2 pivoted together at their ends 9 for limited angular movement from parallel disposition, each rod comprising a horizontal portion 3, 5 and an upwardly directed portion 7, 8. The pivot 9 is formed by the arcuate ends (17, 18) being superposed and enclosed in a casing and the angular movement is limited by the abutment of the ends. Rubber spheres 14 on the ends of the upright portions are sprung into depressions in the hair dryer. Rubber cylinders 12, 13 are mounted on the horizontal portions 3, 5 and a rubber grommet 10 with a downward projection 11 is mounted in the pivot 9.
