Abstract
1,160,460. Punches and dies. WILLIAM PRYM-WERKE K.G. 27 Dec., 1967 [24 Dec., 1966], No. 58685/67. Heading B4B. Severing or perforating tools for sheet material comprises a first tool 12 having a blunt edge 17 and a second tool 11 having a pressure face 14 inclined to the direction of relative movement of the tools. The inclined face may be long to produce deformation in the material prior to severance or may be short to reduce deformation. The inclined and blunt faces may be interchanged between the tools and may be carbidetipped or otherwise clad with hard metal. The tools may be circular, square or other configuration or may be used for line serverance.
