Abstract
1,160,128. Anti-termite barrier. M. G. IONIDES. 12 Jan., 1968 [17 Oct., 1966], No. 46322/66. Heading A5E. A barrier for protecting substances or materials from attack by termites comprises two sheets of water-impervious material of substantially the same dimensions, the edges of which lie adjacent and are united to form a sealed thin envelope, with a layer of insecticide lying within the envelope and substantially evenly distributed throughout the area enclosed by the sheets. The insecticide may be in the form of a solution or emulsion, or may be attached to the water-impervious material by an adhesive, or paper or cardboard may be impregnated with the insecticide. Suitable insecticides are B.H.C. and dieldrin.
