Abstract

1,158,694. Lamps. AMP. Inc. 11 March, 1968 [27 March, 1967], No. 11669/68. Heading F4R. [Also in Division H2] An electric bulb holder is mounted in a reflecting surface having an aperture to receive the end of a light conductive member, situated so that the member is at the rear of the bulb. In one form, the reflecting surface consists of an annular part 2 and a conical part 3 terminating in an opening 4 which may be fitted with a lens 7 and into which the light-conductive member 10 is secured, by means of tags 6 on a sleeve 9 on the end of the member 10. In a modification, the end of the light-conducting member is mounted in an aperture in the reflector in a position to receive light direct from the bulb. In a further modification, the electric leads to the bulb and the light conductor are carried in a plastic sleeve mounted in an aperture in the reflector, the light conductor passing out of the sleeve and being supported on the side of the socket for the bulb. The device is primarily intended for indicating the condition of the lights of a motor vehicle to the driver.
