Abstract

1,158,313. Labels. NORPRINT Ltd. 11 July, 1966 [23 July, 1965], No. 31392/65. Addition to 1,071,871. Heading B8F. A destination label to be looped around a person's property, e.g. a baggage handle, consists of an elongated strip having a detachable check portion 15, coated at 15a with a pressure-sensitive adhesive and protected by a backing strip 16, remotely positioned from an end portion, which is also adhesively coated at 11 and protected by a backing strip 12. In use, the check portion 15 is torn off and the main part of the label 10 looped through a handle so that the two ends are secured together by the adhesive 11. In an alternative embodiment, a projecting end of the label is bent over and adhesively secured to the back face of the opposite end (Fig. 6, not shown). If desired, only the projecting end (20a), (Fig. 9, not shown) may be coated with the pressure-sensitive adhesive. In a further embodiment, the adhesive may be arranged on opposite sides of the strip.
