Abstract
1,158,379. 3,4-Dihydroisoquinoline derivatives. ARZNEIMITTELWERK DRESDEN VEB. 29 May, 1968, No. 25723/68. Heading C2. The invention comprises compounds of formula wherein R 1 is H or C 1 _ 3 alkyl, and R 2 , R 3 are each H, halogen, or C 1 _ 3 alkyl or alkoxy, the optically active isomers thereof when R 1 is alkyl, and the salts thereof with physiologically compatible inorganic and organic acids. These compounds are prepared by reacting together in an inert organic solvent the appropriate 1- methyl-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline and benzaldehyde.
