Abstract

1,158,035. Rectifiers. MAGDEBURGER ARMATURENWERKE " KARL MARX" VEB. 17 Nov., 1967, No. 52482/67. Heading H2F. A rectifier bridge includes one element, 4, switchable between a conducting and a non- conducting state to give full- or half-wave rectification. On first switching on the circuit, rectifier 4 is fired during alternative half cycles by the charging current of capacitor 6 giving full wave rectification. Once capacitor C is fully charged no further fiirng takes place and diodes 1, 3 provide half wave rectification for load 9.
