Abstract

1,155,697. Profile transferring devices. TEMCO TOOLS Ltd. March 1, 1968 [March 17, 1967], No. 12659/67. Heading G1M. A profile transferring device comprises a body structure 5, 9, a row of feeler needles 1 resting on support means 3, a row of presser tubes 2 and retaining strips 18 to restrict endwise movement of the tubes. Pairs of tubes 2 bear against each needle and the support means comprise a second row of tubes 3. Portions 20 of the strips 18 engage rods 21 in each tube to restrict the movement of the tube. Pressure is applied to rubber strips 6 to clamp the needles by screwing up a wing nut 12 which applies pressure through a sleeve 11, a yoke 10 and pressure bars 7. The degree of tightening of a nut 14 determines the minimum pressure applied to the needles when the wing nut is loosened, this pressure being sufficient to prevent the needles falling out of the body structure. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification, 931,463.
