Abstract

1,154,797. Bearings. LEIPZIGER KUGELLAGERFABRIK DKF VEB. 31 Jan., 1967, No. 4578/67. Heading F2A. A rolling element cage comprises identical cage parts 1, 1<SP>1</SP>, each part having a rim with cross-bars, two parts being connected together with the respective rims axially spaced and the respective cross-bars disposed alternately. In Fig. 3, pegs 7, 7<SP>1</SP> are provided on the cross-bars 3, 3<SP>1</SP> to fit bores 8 in annular rims 9, 9<SP>1</SP>. In Figs. 7 and 8 (not shown), the rims are formed of arcuate segments connected by interlocking tongues. The cage parts are metallic or of plastics material, which may be reinforced by metal inserts.
