Abstract

1,154,660. Moisture alarm systems. J.C.B. BAISDEN. Dec. 15, 1967 [April 18, 1967] No. 57035/67. Heading G1S. In a moisture detecting device, the head 18 of a safety pin is provided with electrodes 26, 28 on the point 14 which engage contacts 32, 34 connected to a signal generator 24, such that the presence of moisture produces a galvanic couple between the electrodes to activate the signal generator. An antennae 40 is connected to the signal generator, and a receiver may be provided. The arrangement may be applied to a press fastener and is suitable for use with babies napkins.
