Abstract
1,154,194. Anthraquinone dyes. CIBA Ltd. 13 July, 1967 [13 July, 1966], No. 32333/67. Heading C4P. The invention comprises compounds of the formula where X is the α-bromoacryloyl, α,#-dibromopropionyl or chloroacetyl residue bound to the NH bridging group through its CO group. The compounds are prepared by acylation of compounds of the above formula where X is hydrogen with the appropriate acid halide or anhydride, or by elimination of hydrogen halide from an anthraquinone dyestuff of the formula by treatment with alkali.
