Abstract

1,153,863. Tracheotomy tubes. SECRETARY OF STATE FOR SOCIAL SERVICES. 7 Sept., 1966 [11 June, 1965], No. 24731/65. Headings A5R and A5T. A tracheotomy tube 1 has an inflatable cuff 3 in fluid communication with its interior, the cuff being inflated by respiratory air on inspiration of the patient. The cuff communicates with the tube through apertures 2 near which the tube may he constricted by a ring (4) or a tapering portion (5). The tube 1 may be attached to a respirator.
