Abstract

1,153,188. Casting concrete piles. Y. TSUZUKI. 10 Aug., 1966 [11 Aug., 1965], No. 35735/66. Heading B5A. [Also in Division E1] A mould for casting concrete piles comprises a bottom shutter 1, Fig. 10, having an inwardly projecting curved surface 2 and outer side portions 3, side shutters 14, 15 of similar shape and clamped at right angles to the bottom shutter, two end closures (not shown) and an upper shutter 31 having a inwardly projecting curved surface pressed on to the top of the mould. The shutters may be iron or synthetic resin sheets. A cover-plate (not shown) may be used to press on the upper shutter, A reinforcing member (Fig. 3, not shown) may be inserted, comprising four longitudinal bars (6-9) welded to the ends of X-shaped spacing members (10, 11) and having thin reinforcing bars (12, 13) wound one around each diagonally opposite pair of the bars (12, 13). The curved surfaces may be semi-circular, parabolic, sinusoidal, semi-elliptical or semi-hyperbolic in section (Figs. 11-15, not shown).
