Abstract

1,151,679. Polyisoprene blends. GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER CO. 17 April, 1968 [19 May, 1967], No. 18076/68. Headings C3P and C3Q. A composition comprises from 99 to 80 parts by weight of cis-1,4-polyisoprene containing at least 85% of cis-1,4 addition, and from 1 to 20 parts by weight of trans-1,4-polyisoprene containing at least 70% trans-1,4 addition. The blend may then be mixed with polybutadiene and styrene-butadiene rubber (including oilextended polymer). Conventional compounding ingredients are added.
