Abstract

1,151,260. Concrete posts. NIPPON CONCRETE KOGYO K.K. 13 Nov., 1967 [13 Sept., 1967], No. 51621/67. Headings E1B and E1H. A tubular reinforced' tapering concrete post or pile 10 comprises pre-tensioned cold drawn steel wires 1 arranged in a circle and anchored in annular end plates 9, (8) non- tensioned hot rolled steel wires 2-6 of different lengths arranged in the same circle, and a wire 7 spirally wound around the wires. 1-6, the whole cage being embedded in concrete centrifugally compacted. In a modification a second circle of pretensioned wires is spaced inwardly of the above circle, annular spacing elements having holes for all the wires to pass through being positioned along the post.
