Abstract

1,148,770. Filing papers. W. LENNARTZ. 8 Nov., 1966 [11 Nov., 1965 (3)], No. 50025/66. Heading B6E. A document file is made from outer sheets 1, 2 which are relatively soft and non-rigid, and at least one plastics insert sheet 4 which is hard and rigid and secured; as by welding or adhesive, at 5, to at least one edge of the sheets 1, 2. The insert sheet 4 may be coloured and forms, with the sheets 1, 2, two pockets to receive papers &c. The sheets 1, 2 are formed by folding at 3 a single large sheet, and all the sheets may be cut away in step formation to provide fingeropenings to facilitate removal of papers. In one modification (Figs. 2 and 3), the edge of the insert sheet (4) is folded (at 8) and welded (at 9) to-the sheet (2) adjacent the fold (3) of the sheets (1, 2) and a transverse edge (12) on the sheet (2) is extended (at 14), and folded and welded to the sheet (1). In another construction (Figs. 4 and 5), the two outer sheets (1, 2) are formed by folding a single sheet (at 3), two insert sheets (17, 18) are formed by folding a single sheet (at 19), the folds (3, 19) are welded together, and all the sheets are welded together (at 5) on the lower transverse edge. The outer sheets may be transparent.
