Abstract

1,148,654. Tumbler driers. THERMAIR DOMESTIC APPLIANCES Ltd. 23 March, 1967 [31 Dec., 1965], No. 55352/65. Heading F4G. The imperforate drum 1 of a tumbler drier is mounted on a a drive shaft 17 having a passage therethrough in which a heater is located so as to supply hot air into the interiorof the drum. The heater is a cartridge type electric heater located coaxiallywithin the passage- and spaced from the walls of the shaft. A squirrel cage impeller 31 is mounted at.one end of a drive spindle 14 of a motor 10 which also drives the shaft 17 through reduction gearing 16.
