Abstract

1,145,971. Rafts. THAMES LAUNCH WORKS Ltd. 27 June, 1966 [4 March, 1966], No. 9551/66. Heading B7A. A life saving buoyant raft comprises a block 1 of closed-pore foamed plastics material of a buoyant nature in the required size and shape, an outer sheath 2 of plastics material closely enclosing the block and hand gripping means 4 looped around the sides of the block. The raft shown in Fig. 5 comprising a block 1 of foamed plastics covered with a plastics sheath 2 and having hand grips 14 is suitable for mooring in a sea bathing zone, being provided with upwardly extended sides 10 to stop the wash, handrails 11, an awning 12, a ladder 13 and an anchor 15.
