Abstract
1,145,377. Toilet ventilating apparatus. R. H. TOMLINSON. 19 April, 1966 [23 April, 1965], No. 17122/66. Heading E1C. The electrically driven fan of an air filter 20 for use with toilet bowls is connected to a mains power supply through a delay switch which is electrically operated by low voltage from a transformer connected between the delay switch operating coil and the mains power supply. The low voltage circuit includes a starting switch 13 mounted on the toilet seat 10 which seat is formed with air duct means 16, 18A which commnuicates with the filter 20 through a hose 39. The seat is biased upwardly by spring loaded hinges to cause the switch 13 to open when the user rises, the delay switch being effective to maintain the filter in operation for a predetermined further period.
