Abstract

[Also in Division F2] A steerable motorized ground wheel of an industrial truck includes an eccentric gear transmission comprising an internally toothed annulus 5, to which a wheel rim (not shown) is bolted, meshing with two externally toothed gear-wheels 2, 2A rotatably mounted on eccentries 3, 3A having 180 degrees phase separation and secured on the shaft 4 of an electric motor (not shown), the gear wheels 2 being prevented from rotation about their own axes by tubular rollers 19 loosely carried on fixed shafts and extending through uniformly spaced bores 18 in the gear wheels 2. Each roller has line contact with its bore 18 and its supporting shaft, the eccentricity of the roller 19 relative to its bore 18 plus the eccentricity of the shaft relative to its roller being equal to the eccentricity of the driving eccentric 3. Bolts 9 and spacer sleeves 11 form the supporting shafts of the rollers 19 and secure together the halves 7, 8 of a frame bolted to the motor casing. The rollers 19 have lubricant grooves (20), Fig. 4, not shown, in their end faces. More than two driving eccentrics may be used. 1,145,321. Railway vehicle floors. [Also in Division B8] A brick kiln truck, Figs. 6, 15 (not shown), has spaced parallel inverted channel section supports secured to its floor, each to support a vertical pile of bricks, the piles forming a stack on the truck with vertical air spaces.
