Abstract
1,143,469. Combined gas turbine and steam turbine power plant. HEAD WRIGHTSON & CO. Ltd. Feb.7, 1968 [Nov.11, 1966], No.50577/66. Headings F1G and F1Q. In an operating cycle as claimed in Specification 932,718 further low-pressure steam from a source 18 independent of that of the steam turbine 11 is injected into the cycle to improve the output of the compressor driving turbine 1 and/or the load turbine 5. The further low-pressure steam may be injected into the cycle at a position where it is passed through the compressor driving turbine 1 or at a position where it by-passes the compressor driving turbine. A proportion'of the further low-pressure steam supply may be also passed to a de-aerator 15.
