Abstract
1,142,348. Swimming pool. VEREINIGTE METALLWERKE RANSHOFEN-BERNDORF A.G. 6 Dec., 1966 [7 Dec., 1965; 23 Dec., 1965], No. 54493/66. Heading A4N. A metallic swimming pool with side walls 12 has an overflow channel 17 at its upper edge, the longitudinal direction of the channel being interrupted at an expansion gap between rim members of the pool 15 and the side walls of the pool, adjacent the gap between the rim members, being extended upwardly to prevent entry of water from the pool into the gap. The pool is preferably of aluminium and the overflow channel may be covered by an apertured cover, e.g. a grating (18). The portion of the side wall which is upwardly extended and the gap between the rim members are preferably covered by a shaped member (6) and the gap between the transverse plating by a covering member (4). The apertured cover may be mounted in opposite horizontal grooves (25, 26) of which one groove contains a spring element (27) which presses the grating into the other groove.
