Abstract

1,037,664. Ignition systems. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. June 19, 1963 [June 19, 1962], No. 23528/62. Heading F1B. In an ignition system including a capacitor C connected in series with a surface discharge plug P, an inductor L and a switching device G, a unidirectional current carrying device R is connected in parallel with both the capacitor and the switching device. The switching device G may be a spark gap or a semi-conductor controlled rectifier. The device R is preferably of the semi-conductor kind.
