Abstract

For a draw-twisting or draw-winding apparatus in which yarn passes from a drawing-roller around a separating-roller and back to the drawing-roller, the separating-roller is mounted to swing towards and away from the drawing-roller and is resiliently urged to swing away from the drawing roller by a force less than that exerted on it by the thread In Fig. 4, (not shown), the separating roller 31 is mounted on an arm pivoted on a fixed part and is urged away from the drawing roller 21 by a spring 26, stops 24, 25 being provided. In Fig. 3, (not shown), the separating roller is on an arm 18 mounted on a fixed part by a spring 15. When the thread breaks &c, contacts are closed by movement of the arm to actuate an alarm.
