An outer annular part 1 of a sink plug has its central aperture 2 closed by an inner part 8, which supports a spigot 7 carrying a rubber ring 12 slidably movable in a tube 6 attached to the outer part 1 by a spider 5. The inner part 8 is retained in its open position by the frictional forces between the spigot 7, tube 6 and ring 12. The outer part 1 is sealed into a sink plug hole by a rubber ring 3.
