Abstract

A device for mixing petrol and oil comprises a tubular glass body 6 (see Fig. 2, not shown) having an inlet pipe extension 18 adapted to receive the nozzle of a petrol pump and continued by a pipe 22 extending towards the bottom of an inner tubular vessel 24 of transparent plastics which may be charged with oil; the incoming petrol sweeps the oil out of the vessel 24 and the mixture is discharged through the filter 31 and outlet pipe 34 into a vehicle tank. A resiliant sealing member 21 surrounds the pump nozzle and the vessel 24 may be drained by an automatic siphon 36, 37 or by a manually operated valve.
