Abstract

1,031,350. Coil formers. ERICSSON TELEPHONES Ltd. Jan. 1, 1965 [Dec. 12, 1963], No. 49131/63. Heading B8M. [Also in Division H1] A coil former comprises two co-operating parts each consisting of an end flange and a projecting portion, the projecting portion of one part being hollow and capable of receiving the projecting portion of the other part. The external surface of the projecting portion of the one part is preferably cylindrical, the internal surface being of frusto-conical form with the narrow end adjacent the end flange which has a hole bored therethrough of diameter equal to that of the narrow end of the internal surface. The other part has a frusto-conical external surface of substantially the same dimensions as the internal surface of the one part but with the broad end adjacent the end flange. A cylindrical bore of diameter equal to that passing through the end flange of the one part passes through the end flange and projecting portion of the other part. The two parts are preferably held together by friction, but adhesive may be applied. The end flange and projecting portion of each part are preferably moulded integrally from plastics materials, and are of polygonal cross-section.
