Abstract

1,030,650. Bedsteads. B. M. FAHRNE and E. J. SMITH. April 23, 1965 [April 25, 1964], No. 17321/65. Heading A4J. A bedside support 10 comprises an elongated standard 12 connected to a side frame member of the bed. A handgrip 16 encircles the standard adjacent its upper end and is connected to the standard by a plurality of rods 24. The standard consists of an upper stem 20 slidably received in a sleeve 22. The sleeve may be welded to the bedframe or secured to it by a connector 32. a brace 97 is provided for the support 10.
