Abstract

1,030,641. Valves. B. BENDZ. Feb. 4, 1964, No. 4657/64. Heading F2V. A valve comprises a body 1, not shown, divided by seats 8 and 9 into three coaxial chambers, a primary outlet chamber 7, a recirculation chamber 5, and an intermediate inlet chamber 6, the chamber 6 being connected either to chamber 5 or 7 when closure members 10 or 11 are simultaneously moved to an open or closed position. The valve members 10 and 11 are mounted on a spindle 12 extending through the chambers and into a coaxial housing 19 which accommodates a loading spring 20. The spindle is moved axially by a cam 27 operated by a lever 28. When the spindle is moved to open a passageway between the chambers 6 and 7, the spring loading is effective to yieldingly hold the closure member 10 on the seat 8 and the closure member 11 off the seat 9, so that, when the pressure of fluid in the outlet chamber 7 exceeds the spring loading, closure member 10 moves to allow fluid to pass to the recirculation chamber 5. The spring pressure can be adjusted by rotating the spindle 12 in a hut 22. A connection 16 is for a pressure gauge.
