Abstract

1,030,149. Filters. LANDSVERK. A. B. Aug. 4, 1964 [July, 31, 1963], No. 31496/64. Heading B1D. The pulp 9 deposited on the inside of a centrifugal drum 1 is removed by a scraper 15 operated and carried by a rotatable and axially movable rod 10, and compressed air supplied through an axial passage 23 in the rod 10 to an air nozzle 21 mounted on the scraper causes the removed pulp to be discharged through an outlet opening 8. Compressed air passes through conduit 24 via an opening in a tube 11 enclosing the rod 10 into a pressure chamber 27. The rod 10 functions as a slide valve so that the passage 23 communicates through a bore 32 with the chamber 27 only when the rod 10 is such that the scraper is at the lower part of the drum. The movement of rod 10 is guided by a pin 19 moving in a groove 20 in the tube 11.
