Abstract

1,030,145. Femoral prostheses. P. WITTEBOL. April 21, 1964, No, 16504/64. Heading A5R. A femoral prosthesis comprises a partspherical head 6 joined by a connecting piece 5 to a flat intramedullary stem 4, the centre of the head lying outside the plane of the stem. A planar shoulder 7 formed by the connecting piece bears against the residual neck of the femur when the prosthesis is in position.
