Abstract

1,027,851. Adjustable seats. AUSTIN MOTOR CO. Ltd. March 26, 1965 [Feb. 28, 1964], No. 8521/64. Heading A4J. An adjustable vehicle-seat has front legs 1 privotally attached both to a seat frame 2 and to twin brackets 7 which are fixed to the floor of the vehicle. Legs 1 and frame 2 are adjustably interlocked for longitudinal adjustment of the seat by a notched link 11 engaging a stud 12 on a leg 1. Each bracket 7 is formed with tilt adjustment holes 8 spaced along a circular arc. A link 5 is pivoted to bracket 7 and to the corresponding leg 1. A retaining pin 9 provided with a control arm 10 is slidable axially in coaxial holes in leg 1 and in link 5 into peg-like engagement with any one of the holes 8 selected by pivotal movement of link 5.
