Abstract

1,027,491. Sound deadening panels. SUPRA CHEMICALS & PAINTS Ltd. Sept. 10, 1962 [Sept. 21, 1961], No. 33800/61. Heading F2X. Sound-deadening material particularly for road vehicles and other machines comprises a perforated flat sheet 10 consisting of a mixture of bitumen and fillers. The perforations 11 have a total area lying between 5 and 40% of the area of the layer and preferably have a diameter not greater than <SP>25</SP>/ 64 inch. As shown the perforations are spaced at 1 inch centres in staggered rows.
