Abstract

1,027,347. Suspension filling cabinets. WILLIAM BARKER (PROPRIETARY) Ltd. Aug. 13, 1964 [June 13, 1963], No. 23619/63. Addition to 903,214. Heading B6E. The filing cabinet of the parent Specification is modified in that the interspersed filing pins are replaced by pairs of co-operating telescopic members 3, 4. The tubular members 4 are tapered at their outer ends and may be slotted to accommodate a rib formed on the inner members 3, Fig. 4 (not shown). In addition, the front lath 2 has a stop 21 which co-operates with a latch plate 19. The latter is pivotable about a longitudinal axis by a handle 15 and is urged toward a vertical position by springs 20. When a pair of co-operating laths are separated, the stop 21 on the front lath moves along the plate 19 until it engages the notch 23 to prevent further movement. In this position the laths will be partially separated to facilitate location of a drawing. To separate the laths completely and disengage the pins 3, 4, from each other, the plate is tilted away from the stop 21 by the handle 15.
