Abstract

1,026,488. Saggars for pottery kilns. J. WALLEY. Oct. 29, 1964 [Nov. 7, 1963], No. 43920/63. Addition to 828,725. Heading F4B. [Also in Division B5] Pieces 11, to be fired in kilns, are supported by saggars 10 which have been compression moulded (see Division B5) from a grog of Molochite clay mixed with finely ground clay and/or felspar, stone or talc. Other plasticizng agents, e.g. dextrine, starch, alginate or casein may be used in addition or as alternatives. The saggars 10 are separated by circular distance pieces 12, and may be used inverted relative to the positions known in the Figure so that the pieces to be fired are supported with their convex sides upwards.
