Abstract

1,024,071. Roof-edge trimming strips. M. SCHIERLING. Jan. 8, 1964 [Sept. 18, 1963], No. 859/64. Heading E1V. A roof-edge trimming strip 2 is attached to a flat roof 1 by spacer members 16 mounted upon a steel angle strip 14 secured to the roof, and an angled flashing member 3 clamped along one edge in a pocket 4 in the strip 2 extends with the opposite edge sandwiched between roofing sheets 23, 24 over insulating panels 22. A profiled strip 6 serves to clamp the member 3 in the pocket 4. The spacer members 16 have flanges 18, Fig. 3, which are brought into engagement with grooves 17 in the trimming strip by rotation of the member 16 about a bolt 15 which is subsequently tightened to retain the spacer members engaged within the grooves.
