Abstract

1,023,438. Band clamps. USTAV PRE ROZVOJ STROJARESKEHO SPOTREBNEHO TOVARU. July 1, 1964 [July 2, 1963], No. 27132/64. Heading E2B. A clamp for suspending cables comprises a strip of plastics material having an intermediate portion of substantially constant width, a first end portion wider than the intermediate portion and a second end portion narrower than the intermediate portion and terminating in a substantially cylindrical catch part 1 which has its axis substantially in the median plane of the strip and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis thereof, the first end portion being provided with a slot 4 elongated in the transverse direction of the strip and of such dimensions that the catch part 1 and the intermediate portion can be passed therethrough and said intermediate portion being provided with a second slot 2 elongated in the longitudinal direction of the strip and of such dimensions that the catch part and the second end portion can be passed therethrough and means 3 between the first end portion and the second slot operative to prevent loosening of a loop formed by passing the intermediate portion through the first slot. In the construction shown the means 3 comprise a set of teeth provided on each surface which are directed towards the first end portion and arranged to engage a respective longer side of the first slot. A metal reinforcing piece (not visible) is provided in the first end portion of the strip.
