Abstract
102,315. Wolf, I. April 3, 1916. Locks and fastenings.-A fastening comprises a rigid locking-member 4 provided with slots 5 and spring pressed so as normally to engage lugs 3 on the member 2, the locking or unlocking action being effected by the rotation of a rotary barrel 12 arranged substantially in line with the bar 4. The barrel 12, which is preferably part of a pin-tumbler lock may actuate the bar 4 through the cam-surfaces 11, 10, or may be made integral with the bar 4 as shown in Fig. 3. In this case the bar is formed with semicircular grooves 6 to engage the lugs 3. An additional set of springs and tumblers may be provided at right-angles to the usual set, so that the key may be withdrawn after being turned, and as a modification the lugs may be on the member 1, and the slots in the member 2.
