Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of formula <FORM:1021945/C2/1> wherein X is halogen, nitro or C1-3-alkoxy and R is C1-12-alkyl. These compounds are prepared by reacting together the appropriate trifluoromethylaniline and alkyl chloroformate, optionaly in presence of a hydrogen chloride acceptor, or alternatively by reacting trifluoromethylphenylisocyanate with an alcohol.ALSO:Herbicidal compositions comprise at least one compound of formula <FORM:1021945/A5-A6/1> wherein X is halogen, nitro or C1-3-alkoxy and K is C1-12-alkyl. The usual inert carriers, surface-active agents, solvents and unspecified insecticides, acaricides, germicides, fertilisers and other herbicides may be present. Examples are given.
