Abstract

1,021,871. Cable trunking. POWER CENTRE CO. Ltd. Dec. 7, 1962 [Jan. 23, 1962], No. 2483/62. Heading H2C. A trunking for electrical installations comprises a P.V.C. trough having side walls 2 moulded at their open ends so that a closing strip 11 of similar material having complementary mouldings can snap into engagement with the sides of the trough. Bridge members 16, which support the cables if the trunking is inverted, fit into recesses in the side walls 2 and are spaced apart so that the cables in the troughs may be seen. A tightly fitting inner channel 17 held by mouldings in the outer walls enables adjacent troughs to be joined end to end. An alternate type of closing strip and side wall engagement is described (Fig. 4 not shown).
