In a rectangular multi-storey building assembled from prefabricated room units, the units constituting the lower storey 1, 2, 3 are arranged transverse to the units 4, 5, 6 superimposed thereon. Semi-detached houses with the upper sections provided with dormer windows may be built on this principle, see Figs. 4-7 (not shown).
