Abstract

1,018,135. Refrigerators. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Dec. 11, 1964 [Dec. 16, 1963], No. 49588/63. Heading F4H. The closure member 8 for the freezer compartment 2 of a refrigerator is hingedly mounted at 9 on a removable drip tray 6. Springs (Fig. 2, not shown) are provided for urging the member 8 towards its closed position and the tray 6 is provided with an aperture 13 to allow water to drain to a chiller tray 12 removably mounted on runners formed on the drip tray. The drip tray 6 may be thermally insulated and is slidably mounted on runners which may be provided with stops arranged so that the tray must be lifted before it can be withdrawn from the refrigerator.
