Abstract
1,016,418. Ornaments. M. SCHMIDT. May 15, 1964 [May 18, 1963], No. 20435/64. Heading B6G. A Christmas tree ball of thermo-plastic material comprises separate half shells 1, 2 with flanges 3 for joining as by welding. Inserted within the bal during manufacture is a decorative insert comprising strips of metal foil bundled together at the centre of the ball with a wire 9. The ends of the wire 9 rest on the inner surface of the ball to retain the insert in a central position. One or both of the shells are transparent, and may have a metallized surface finish.
